What was your first job?

For my first real job, I was hired by a local New York Stock Exchange firm as a trainee in the Investment Research Department when I was a junior at the University of Cincinnati.

What is something you are proud of?

After six decades in the investment business as a Registered Representative, I have never had a formal complaint.

Charles D. Vaughan has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) practitioner since 1983 and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) and has been specialized in retirement planning since 1988. Charlie has been actively promoting and teaching effective retirement planning for many years. He has written over 300 financial articles and newspaper columns, taught many seminars, and more than a dozen classes at the Institute for Learning in Retirement (now Osher Lifelong Learning Institute). Charlie is a lifetime member of the Financial Planning Association and a member of the Cincinnati Estate Planning Council. He lives in Kenwood with his wife Collyne and has two grown sons, one daughter and three granddaughters.
